Christopher Marion graduated from the Architectural Technology program from St. Clair College. He started worked for a manufacturing company in Windsor, Ontario shortly thereafter. After really taking enjoyment on the technical side of manufacturing, he decided to go back to school for his General Machinist designation. During his career there, Christopher worked as a CAM programmer, a designer of plastic injection tooling and fixturing and ultimately worked as a continuous improver in process planning and development.

Christopher went to work for Delcam (CAD/CAM software), to give customers access to his knowledge of his subtractive manufacturing and design experience. Following Autodesk’s acquisition of Delcam in 2014, Christopher’s role expanded more into the customer support role in products such as PowerMill, PowerShape, FeatureCAM and Partmaker. His highlight was conducting a live demonstration lab at Autodesk University in 2018.

At SolidCAD, Christopher is assisting in building a larger presence within Canada as a leader in Advanced Manufacturing solutions using the Delcam portfolio. His current role is providing SolidCAD customers software training, implementation and support services.
